The Golden Circle Photo Tour is our most popular one day photo tour includes a photographer’s dream. Waterfalls, erupting geysers and hot springs as well as the Thingvellir NP where the continental drift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates can be clearly seen and photographed. On this tour we visit the majestic Gullfoss waterfall (Golden Waterfall). Most Icelanders consider this to be our most beautiful waterfall. We photograph the waterfall from several angles also trying to take advantage of the rainbow that appears in the waterfall’s massive amount of spray.
After the Gullfoss waterfall we go to the Geysir geothermal area with its erupting geysir Strokkur. It takes special technique to photograph it. This area also offers a great variety of colors that characterize a hot spring area. The last stop is the Thingvellir NP where the parliament of Iceland was established in 930 AD making it one of the oldest legislative assemblies in the world that are still in function. Here we can photograph the Almannagjá gorge, the majestic cliffs, canyons and cracks as well as the tranquility of the lake Thingvallavatn were it flows into the crevasses in the lavafields. Bring warm rainproof clothes.
What you will see, photograph and experience.
